College Information Night Set October 17

Representatives from more than 40 colleges and universities will provide information to prospective students during College Information Night from 6-8:30 p.m. on October 17 at JCC’s Jamestown Campus.

The event, held in the Physical Education Complex, is sponsored by JCC and the Chautauqua County Counselors Association. Admission is free. For additional information, call JCC, 338.1001.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a panel discussion by admissions representatives from JCC, SUNY Fredonia, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, and Daemen College.

The program offers high school students, their parents, and community members the opportunity to meet representatives from Alfred University, Allegheny College, Baldwin Wallace University, Bellevue University, Canisius College, Clarion University, Clarkson University, Daemen College, D'Youville College, Edinboro University, Gannon University, Grand Canyon University, Hilbert College, Houghton College, Jamestown Business College, Keuka College, Lake Erie College, LECOM, La Roche College, Le Moyne College, Medaille College, Mercyhurst University, Nazareth College, Niagara University, Penn College of Technology, Penn State University, Roberts Wesleyan College, RIT, St. Bonaventure University, St. John Fisher College, SUNY Alfred State, SUNY Alfred, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Buffalo State, SUNY Canton, SUNY Empire State, SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Plattsburgh, SUNY Potsdam, University of Pitt Bradford, University of Rochester, Wells College, Westminster College, and Youngstown State University.

Information on grants and scholarships, including the new Excelsior Scholarship for eligible New York state students, will also be available.
