The JCC Uncommoners will hold auditions for their spring production of William Shakespeare's romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, at 7:30 p.m. on November 22 and 23 in JCC's Scharmann Theatre.

Auditions are open to members of the community as well as all JCC students. Those auditioning should prepare a one-minute monologue and expect to do “cold” readings from the script.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of Shakespeare's most beloved works, is set in Athens, with Duke Theseus about to wed Hippolita, the queen of the Amazons. Helena and Hermia are two young women in love with two young gentlemen, Demetrius and Lysander, respectively.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performed March 11-19. Rehearsals begin in early January and run Monday through Friday from 7-10 p.m. For more information, call JCC theatre director, Bob Schlick, at 338.1153.
