Performers and Performers, a workshop for anyone interested in the performing arts, will be conducted by actress/singer/comedian Karen Volpe from noon to 1 p.m. on October 24 at JCC’s Jamestown Campus.

The workshop, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Scharmann Theatre.

The workshop will give participants valuable skills and information about how to build careers in the performing arts. The session is intended also for students and community members who may not intend to make a career in the performing arts but who enjoy performance and the act of watching talented performers.

Volpe, a Jamestown native and JCC alumna, is a member of the musical/comedy trio “The Boobé Sisters.” An accomplished actress, singer, and professional performer for 20 years, she appeared recently with The Boobé Sisters on NBC's “America's Got Talent.”

While filming on CMT's “Can You Duet” show, Volpe recorded her country CD, “Dinner and a Fancy Dress.” She has worked as an improvisation comedian aboard The Disney Cruise Lines and can be seen alongside Ryan Seacrest on TNN's “Ultimate Revenge.”
