Gale Virtual Reference Library

The Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Subject areas covered by the collection include the arts, biography, business, education, environment, history, law, literature, medicine, religion, science, and social science. The collection may be searched as a whole, or by individual title. General OneFile (Gale)

This general periodical database contains over 12,000 periodicals, newspapers, reference books and multimedia sources, over half of which are full text. The backfile extends nearly 30 years. Subjects include humanities, education, environmental issues, technology, health care, politics and more.

Grolier Encyclopedias

Grolier Online is published by Scholastic Library Publishing and includes full-text access to the Encyclopedia Americana, the Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and The New Book of Knowledge. The content is geared toward students in Grade 3 and up, and aligns with state and national education standards. Other features include full-text access to world newspapers, dictionaries, an atlas, and lesson plans and other educational resources for educators.

Grove Art Online (Oxford)

Grove Art Online is a scholarly art encyclopedia, covering both Western and non-Western art. Grove Art encompasses all aspects of visual culture. It features articles about topics as varied as Fauvism and Frida Kahlo, bibliographies for further research, and thousands of searchable images made available through Oxford’s partnerships with museums, galleries, and other outstanding arts organizations.
