Director of athletics Keith Martin has 26 years of coaching and athletic experience, 15 of which have been spent at JCC. He was the women's basketball coach at Jamestown Community College for 13 years, as well as an assistant baseball and softball coach at JCC, and an assistant baseball coach at Eastern Connecticut State University. While at Eastern Connecticut, Martin played and coached in three NCAA College World Series and won an NCAA National Championship in 1990. He was also the head basketball coach at Windham Technical High in Connecticut.

Martin obtained his A.A.S. from JCC, where he played baseball and basketball, and his B.S. from Eastern Connecticut State University, where he played baseball. Martin has been the NJCAA Region III Division II Coach of the Year three times (2002, 2007, 2010) while at JCC. During his tenure, the JCC women's basketball team was declared an NJCAA Academic All-American Team in 2007 and 2012. He has coached 11 Academic All-Americans.
