Meet the Cast! | See the Rehearsals! Excellent photos by Ryan Johnson One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was adapted into a play by Dale Wasserman from the novel by Ken Kesey. It tells the story of a charming rogue who contrives to serve a short sentence in an airy mental institution rather than in prison. This, he soon learns, is a mistake; as he clashes with the head nurse. Quickly, he takes over the yard and accomplishes what the medical profession has been unable to do for twelve years: he makes a presumed deaf and dumb Native American talk. He leads the others out of introversion, stages a revolt so that they can see the World Series on television, and arranges a rollicking midnight party with liquor and chippies. The consequence of his actions comes in the form of a severe decision by the head nurse. For further information, contact the college at 338-1000, ext. 2449. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest will be presented March 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, and 31, 2007.
