Aimee Brunelle, ATC, EMT Aimee has been the Athletic Trainer and Instructor in Arts & Sciences at JCC since 1999. A graduate of SUNY Stony Brook, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with Concentrations in Biology and Physical Education. Prior to her arrival, she was employed as the Assistant Head Athletic Trainer with McLaren Sports Medicine in Flint, Michigan, where she worked with the athletic teams at Mt. Morris and Birch Run High Schools. At Stony Brook, she worked as a student athletic trainer with women's volleyball, men's lacrosse and football, and gained experience with other sports such as baseball, soccer and swimming. Aimee is currently volunteering as an Athletic Trainer with the Erie Illusion and Syracuse Sting Women’s Football teams and is an active EMS member of the Fluvanna Fire Department. This past summer, Aimee had the opportunity to work with Olympic athletes as a volunteer Athletic Trainer at the Chula Vista (CA) Olympic Training Center. She has worked with the Philadelphia 76ers organization at their basketball camp during the summer of 2001 and has volunteered to work at the Empire State Games. Any questions? Contact Aimee Brunelle, ATC - Athletic Trainer Michael Mitchell, MD Dr. Mitchell is a graduate of Penn State University and the Medical College of Pennsylvania and also completed a fellowship in the Department of Orthopedics at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Mitchell holds positions as the Director of the WCA Sports Medicine and Wellness Program, Medical Director for Heritage Village Family and School Physician for the Salamanca and Falconer School Districts. Dr. Mitchell serves as a consultant for the Jamestown Jammers, the Class A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and is the Chairman of the Department of Family Practice at WCA Hospital. He is a Charter Member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Mitchell, who has practiced in the Jamestown area since 1985, has been the Team Physician for JCC since 1991. |
