- Student Success Seminar
- Reference Librarians provide an introduction to library services, a tour of the library, and instruction on the online catalog.
- Class Instruction
- Tailored to meet the needs of beginning to advanced classes at JCC. Faculty should contact the Reference Desk (716-388-1139) to discuss their requirements and to schedule a class. [See Faculty Information]
- Drop in Workshops for Students
- Workshops covering various aspects of library research are scheduled throughout the Spring and Fall semesters. Schedules of upcoming workshops are announced in The Communicator and posted around campus.
- Classes for Credit
- LIB160 - Electronic Library Resources (1 credit)
Introduces students to the information resources available on the Internet through online lectures, demonstrations and assignments. Students will develop basic search skills needed to find online information. Students will be able to select, search, and evaluate both bibliographic and full-text Internet resources, developing skills that can be transferred to use with other Internet resources.
