The Weeks Gallery's
Museum Without Walls: Overview

JCC believes that learning and participating in the visual arts is vital to the development of our children and communities. Through partnerships with the public schools and the Arts Council, we strive to provide and secure additional resources for arts education. The Museum Without Walls (MWW) programs provide ArtReach curriculum that takes advantage of the Weeks Gallery’s visiting artists and art collection. Gallery services include artist and/or curator lectures, artist-in-residence programs, permanent collection tours, in service teacher training, and an innovative ArtReach website. All of JCC’s students will soon participate in Student Success Seminar curriculum that provides opportunities for students to expand their appreciation for diversity, increase global and historical understanding, improve internet research, and foster critical thinking. Parallel programs have been established for the public schools.
