Accounts - JCC Student Network Who
is eligible for a JCC student network computer account?
Access
to computing facilities and accounts is governed by the Jamestown
Community College Computer Use Policy. - All current students either
part-time or full-time have an account on the JCC Student Computer Network. This
service is part of the $5.00 per credit hour Technology Fee.
- Each current
student has access to the JCC Student Computer Network and the ANGEL course management
system using the same logon procedure. Student e-mail accounts are internal only
for communication within ANGEL system. Students wishing free e-mail accounts outside
the JCC system should apply at Yahoo.com or MSN.com for accounts.
- Alumni who
have valid gold cards are eligible to use open lab computing software and resources.
Alumni must contact Hardware and Network services for an account.
- Current
JCC faculty should contact your Assistant Dean to apply for an account. The
college is not able to offer guest or courtesy accounts to community members or
to students who are not enrolled for the current semester at JCC.
How do I get an account? Student
accounts are set up at the beginning of each semester based on registration dates.
If there is a problem with accessing an account, the student
should contact the JCC Helpdesk at ext. 4357 at either the
Jamestown and Cattaraugus campuses. Students must present
valid ID when requesting changes to account information.
Alumni
gold card members need to present their valid gold card
to ICS staff in order to activate an account.
Student accounts expire at the end of each semester.
Disk space is recaptured at that time. Students need to make special arrangements
due to incompletes or courses with different end dates. |
