What
computer hardware is available?
Over
400 pentium based networked PCs are available in twelve labs, located on our two
campuses and two extension sites/centers. ArtWorks (Jamestown campus) and the
Physics department (Jamestown and Cattaraugus campuses) run networked Macintosh
labs. Please note: Users are not allowed to connect personal laptops into the
network without special permission. | What
software is available on the computers?
All of the computers on the network provide access to Internet services including
the World Wide Web (via Netscape), telnet (via Host Access), and graphic-based
Solstice email.
PC software options include the Microsoft Office XP Professional
suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and various
application packages provided to assist instruction.
Please note that personal software may not be loaded
on any of the laboratory computers. | | |
