Job Description: 

New Directions Youth and Family Services currently seeks a video production intern. Intern will further develop video production skills to plan, create, and execute a comprehensive video about the mission of New Directions and its campuses and agency services. The internship will provide the student with the opportunity to develop a large-scale portfolio project at one of western New York’s largest human services agencies. 

Requirements: 
  • Knowledge of video equipment and Adobe Creative Suites
  • Experience with developing video for online use and/or broadcast outlets
  • News writing and editing skills (strong attention to detail)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Must be a creative storyteller
Responsibilities: 

Intern will develop a feature video about the agency, as well as a series of short videos that effectively interpret and communicate the mission and culture of New Directions. The intern will work closely with staff to develop a compelling video that will be used for the agency website, online marketing tools, and on-site presentations. The intern will be responsible for all duties involved in pre- and post production, including basic script writing, capturing video, editing, and distribution of the final product.
