Job Description: 

JCC's Information Technology Services department currently seeks an intern to assist in providing technical and end-user support for internal and external events held at the college. Intern will develop skills related to customer service and support; network cable installation and patching; technical troubleshooting; hardware repair and deployment, and ability to train users on equipment operation.

Requirements: 

Applicant should have basic computer skills, a technical aptitude, and ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities: 

Intern will:

  • Troubleshoot and repair computing equipment and peripherals.
  • Assist with installing cabling to support technology installations and make necessary jumper cables as needed for those installations, label and documentation on network circuit.
  • Verify cabling installations utilizing appropriate testing equipment.
  • Provide needed computer/technology set-ups for distance learning, instructional classrooms, special events, and programs offered by outside groups.
  • Assist with end-user and help desk support.
  • Assist with technology installations as needed.
