Community Broadcasters, LLC is seeking 15-30 interns for its family of radio stations (1-2 interns per station). CB, LLC includes stations focusing on country, contemporary hit radio, adult contemporary, sports, news/talk, classic rock, and rock.
Interns will develop knowledge and skills in social media management and marketing, and understand broadcasting as pertains to digital media. Interns will learn more about digital and social advertising, content curation and creation, use of CMS, and use of social media analytics and content tools.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. Applicants should also have knowledge and experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media platforms, as well as knowledge of radio and radio broadcasting. Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The internship will be completed for credit.
This internship will have a strong social media focus. Interns will assist with social media engagement by helping to manage their assigned station’s social channels. Interns will also draft and edit copy for social channels, create format specific content relevant to market area, monitor social media web analytics on a daily basis (e.g. page views, Twitter followers), and provide reports of growth and other activity. Interns will use Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and other analytics tools and applications.
Additional marketing and advertising tasks may include engaging with corporate to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns, and assisting with gathering data for marketing reports and supporting a variety of marketing and advertising programs.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching industry-specific sites (blogs, forums, etc) for product reviews, customer comments, and other relevant marketing information, and maintaining marketing program files.
