Requirements: 
  • Current student enrolled in a college/university and able to receive credit for internship
  • Available through Ride weekend (June 23th & 24th, 2017)
  • Reliable transportation to The Ride For Roswell office (901 Washington Street, Buffalo) and UB North Campus (Amherst)
  • Strong writing  and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hard worker, ability to multi-tasking an often fast paced environment
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
Responsibilities: 

Assist with the planning and execution of The Ride in one or more of the following areas: Campus Experience, Logistics, Route support, and volunteer support. The Operations intern will gain hands-on experience with fundraising and event planning for WNY’s largest fundraiser and the largest single- day cycling event in North America.  They will get to work on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, home to some for the fastest-growing companies in WNY.

Intern projects would include:

  1. Office work – computer, phone, filing
  2. Active work – receiving, storing, lifting and moving supplies.
  3. Assisting with setting up and breaking down the Ride For Roswell.
Hours per Week: 
20-30 hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 

March/April/May: part time based on schedule and staff needs

Late May/June/July: Extended hours and increased during Ride Week (6/16-6/26)
