  • Reliable transportation to The Ride For Roswell office (901 Washington Street, Buffalo) and UB North Campus (Amherst)
  • Strong writing  and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hard worker, ability to multi-tasking an often fast paced environment
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
Responsibilities: 

The Marketing intern will assist in the execution of The Ride’s integrated marketing plan.  This may include creating content for review for printed pieces, e-mails and website. You will gain hands-on experience with marketing, communications, public relations, fundraising and event planning for WNY’s largest fundraiser and the largest single- day cycling fundraiser in North America.  Intern will also get to work on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, home to some of the fastest-growing companies in WNY.

Intern Projects would include:

  • Assist with the development and execution of video and creative collaterals; work with outside vendors, media sponsors and or marketing volunteers when necessary.
  • Assist with any on-site marketing logistics, including signage, supplies, setup, photography, videography, VIPS and stage presentations, leading up to and on Ride Weekend.
  • Support public relations efforts for The Ride leading up to and on Ride weekend including assisting with press releases, media follow up and on-site responsibilities.
  • Assist with the development of stage programs for the Ride For Roswell and Celebration of Hope.
  • May also work with other members for the Ride for Roswell and Development Communications teams within the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation and assist with marketing functions of other Roswell Park special events as needed.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Hours per Week: 
20-30 hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 

March/April/May: part time based on schedule and staff needs

Late May/June/July: Extended hours and increased during Ride Week (6/16-6/26)
