Job Description:

Whirley-DrinkWorks! is a family owned and operated manufacturer in Warren, PA. We've been in operation since 1960, designing and manufacturing products for the food and beverage industry. We are looking for a marketing communications intern to assist us in researching market trends and designing effective sales tools.

By the end of the summer we want our intern to look back and be amazed at all the projects tackled, the sales tools created, and the connections that the intern has made between his/her education and how marketing works in the "real world." The intern will have developed sound work methods in the industry, business to business marketing experience, and a variety of projects with deliverables that will strengthen his/her portfolio and resume. The intern may also get a few slushies and a few lunches while we research our customers. We work hard and have a lot of fun at work!

Requirements:

Whirley-DrinkWorks! seeks an applicant with strong verbal communication and copywriting skills, and who is a proactive self-starter that works well with minimal supervision and bring new ideas to the table. The applicant should also have strong knowledge and experience using social media networks and mobile technology, be well versed in the foundations of visual and graphic layouts, and be able to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (and demonstrate knowledge by creating a simple file). Students in their third or fourth year in a communications, marketing, or graphic design major are preferred. Experience with business to business marketing, photo light booths, digital SLR photography, or writing HTML is a plus.

Responsibilities:
