Graphic Design and Marketing Intern

  • Student must have experience in graphic design, and must possess good writing, artistic, and verbal communication skills.
  • Intern must be self-motivated, willing to do their own research to further their understanding of the topics for which content will be created.
  • Student will need to be able to create/design graphic/written content on their own with limited technical assistance using Publisher, Word, vector-based, or other software.
  • Content will be created in various forms such as posters, banners, signs, and brochures.

Intern will practice research into topics such as electric vehicles, production of electricity, smart meter/advanced meter infrastructure, electric safety, energy efficiency, and water utilities. In the course of the research, the intern will have the opportunity to create finished written and graphic materials such as brochures, posters, banners, and signs which can be added to student portfolios. Student will be coached in research by an electrical engineer and in writing by a longtime communications specialist.

  • Create graphics and written educational material to disseminate technical information to non-technical community members for the Jamestown BPU divisions
  • Create brochures, posters, fliers, and wellness posters for general internal employee communications
Hours per Week: 
24 hours/week for up to 15 weeks
