Requirements: 
  • Current student enrolled in a college/university and able to receive credit for internship
  • Available through Ride weekend (June 23th & 24th, 2017)
  • Reliable transportation to The Ride For Roswell office (901 Washington Street, Buffalo) and UB North Campus (Amherst)
  • Strong writing  and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hard worker, ability to multi-tasking an often fast paced environment
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
Responsibilities: 

The Ride For Roswell intern will gain hands-on experience providing top notch customer service for participants of WNY’s largest fundraiser and the largest single- day cycling event in North America.  An opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people possesses excellent written and communication skills.  The position is based on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, home to some for the fastest-growing companies in WNY.

Intern projects would include:

  • Office work:
    • Assist riders with requests including: Route changes
    • Fundraising materials – Create material request report, prepare packages and mail to participants Website/registration support General inquiries via phone and email
  • Active work:
    • Receiving, storing, lifting and moving supplies.
    • Inventory counts and material organization Assisting with setting up and breaking down the Ride For Roswell.
Hours per Week: 
20-30 hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 

March/April/May: part time based on schedule and staff needs

Late May/June/July: Extended hours and increased during Ride Week (6/16-6/26)
