  • Reliable transportation to The Ride For Roswell office (901 Washington Street, Buffalo) and UB North Campus (Amherst)
  • Strong writing  and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hard worker, ability to multi-tasking an often fast paced environment
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
Responsibilities: 

Steward The Ride For Roswell’s Extra Mile club members (top fundraisers), team captains and individual riders through consistent communication initiatives throughout Ride Season. The Fundraising & Stewardship intern will gain hands-on communication and event planning experience for WNY’s largest fundraiser and the largest single – day cycling fundraiser in North America. Intern will get to meet and work with 1,000+ of The Ride’s top fundraisers and partners and will get to work on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, home to the some of the fastest-growing companies in WNY.

Intern duties would include:

  • Assisting the Stewardship Ambassadors in making phone calls to 2016 Extra Mile Club members (top fundraisers) and team captains, new team captains and new Extra Mile Club members
  • Strategizing logistics to ensure top fundraisers have a top quality experience
  • Assisting the Fundraising Manager and Stewardship Coordinator with various initiatives throughout  the season
  • Coordinating tasks for Ride Weekend volunteers, primarily for the Extra Mile Club
Hours per Week: 
20-30 hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 

January-May: part time based on schedule and staff needs

Late May-July: Extended hours and increased during Ride Week (6/16-6/26)
