Job Description: 

Southern Tier Brewing Company seeks an intern to assist with customer service. The intern will gain an understanding of the following: multi-level interaction in a business atmosphere with supervisors, coworkers, and customers; how to tactfully handle both negative and positive feedback; the organization and categorization that goes into collecting feedback from multiple sources; and presenting feedback and when to 'raise a flag' about its importance (or not).


Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets data entry and sorting a MUST. Social media experience and pivot tables in Excel a PLUS. Must be able to work in a blended office/warehouse/production factory environment with proper safety attire.

Must be willing to:

  • make calls
  • write and send clear emails with proper spelling and grammar
  • act professionally in communication to both internal and external departments
  • maintain a positive yet firm demeanor when speaking with customers
  • take specific verbal and written direction
  • maintain brand and trade confidentiality

Customer service intern:

  • responds to feedback under the direction of the quality manager
  • investigates trends in feedback
  • handles mailings and deliveries as necessary
  • communicates with several departments to reach solutions to customer inquiries
  • categorizes and organizes feedback data for ease of understanding
  • contacts customers to gather data about both positive and negative experiences
Hours per Week: 
2-5 hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 
  • Flexible days and times
  • About 1 hour/day
  • Can be less frequent visits and more hours/day
  • Some work can be done remotely
