Requirements: 

Working with adolescents between 19-24 years old requires a certain level of maturity. The ability to deal with students from many varied walks of life is necessary. The program deals with educating students, and sometimes staff, on the complex issues of drug and alcohol use as well as social skills that they might not possess that would be necessary for their vocational success.

Intern needs to drive as part of the placement.

Responsibilities: 

Intern would be working with TEAP specialist on individual/group counseling and projects within the school/vocational setting dealing with substance abuse. Dealing with students in a vocational/educational setting who have issues with substance use will broaden the skills and knowledge base of anyone devoted to furthering their counseling abilities.

Hours per Week: 
8+ hours/week
Days/Hours Intern is Needed: 

8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday
