Meet some of our Fine Arts: Studio Art Alumni

JCC’s art alumni traditionally transfer to four-year colleges or universities to receive art degrees and specialized training in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, graphic design, or animation. Many combine art and education to be certified as public school teachers, others study graphic design to work as freelance artists or be employed by corporations or advertising agencies, and some pursue art history or museum studies degrees.

This page presents a few profiles of recent JCC alumni who are currently working towards their four-year degrees. What do they have in common? They are exceptional students who were challenged by JCC’s faculty and the caring environments they create. While at JCC, they were connected to volunteer, work, and travel experiences, and they received scholarships, awards, exhibition opportunities, and the right courses that prepared them to transfer to some of the region’s finest art schools.
