I have spent most of my career practicing in the field of mental health. I am currently licensed in New York State as an LCSW-R (Licensed Clinical Social Worker with six years of psychotherapeutic privilege). Before joining Jamestown Community Colleges, my most recent employment was as the clinical director for Catholic Charities of Western NY. My role in that position was the direct supervision of all the therapists over three counties. In addition, I also supervised several case managers and the domestic violence program for men.
Furthermore, during my career I have worked in many different residential treatment facilities for juveniles in New York state, as well as for the Department of Juvenile Corrections Sixth District in Idaho. I have also spent several years working with individuals who have developmental needs.
Prior to working in the field of mental health, I spent several years in the drilling industry. I initially worked in the Gulf of Mexico drilling oil wells, and then moved north to drill all of the geothermal wells for the new visitors center in Algonquin Provincial Park in northern Canada. I currently have 70 credits towards a Ph.D. in clinical social work, and I am also enrolled at California Southern University and am working towards a Psy.D. in psychology. I enjoy camping, anything outdoors, playing the guitar, and gaming. In particular, I enjoy schooling noobs in Halo and Gears of War.
