Director of Nursing Education; Professor of Nursing

I have been a nurse for over 28 years, and have practiced in a variety of nursing positions--as a staff nurse, a manager/administrator, and currently as an assistant professor of nursing at Jamestown Community College. My bedside nursing experience includes cardiac step-down, emergency care, rounds nurse for an internist, and home health care. I have been a continuing education nurse, a nurse manager within the acute care setting, and worked specifically with maternal and child health. I have also been the director of the home health department of a general hospital. Teaching at JCC in our pre-licensure program is both challenging and rewarding. I support and encourage my nursing students to further their education, in order for them to remain current and able to practice in the dynamic world of nursing.
