I have been the athletic trainer at Jamestown Community College since August of 1999. My athletic training responsibilities at JCC include caring for over 150 student-athletes on 11 different teams. I am also an adjunct instructor in the physical education studies program, teaching a variety of physical education courses. In May of 2009, I received the JCC Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award.
Prior to my arrival at JCC, I was employed as the assistant head athletic trainer with McLaren Sports Medicine in Flint, Michigan, where I worked with the athletic teams at Mt. Morris and Birch Run high schools. I have been a NATABOC certified athletic trainer since 1996, and became a NYS-certified athletic trainer in 2000. I have also been an American Red Cross instructor and NYS EMT-B since 2003.
In early 2012, I was voted in as the president-elect of the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association (NYSATA), and I am the president from 2014-2016. I'm also an active volunteer in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) as the District 2 newsletter editor, and was recently selected as a BOC Home Study Reviewer for the the BOC Approved Provider program.
In the past, I have volunteered with the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA, as well as many years with the Empire State Games as the head athletic trainer for rugby. In my free time I volunteer for the Chautauqua County Humane Society and the Jamestown Audubon Center. I enjoy photography, kayaking, and gardening.
