CANCELLED Jazz Fest: Music By Accord & George Caldwell

Accord is a quartet of top notch jazz musicians from western New York and New York City, led by Grammy-winning pianist George Caldwell.

Ensemble personnel include Caldwell on piano, Bobby LaVell on saxophone, Mike Forfia on bass, and John Bacon on drums. The group has released a CD of music including their renditions of jazz standards by Kern, Hancock, Porter and others, as well as original works by members of the group.

Jazz is often referred to as the only original American art form yet it embraces music from many cultures including Hispanic and African American influences. Native American jazz, Celtic jazz, and island jazz are other influences.
