Supporting single parents

As a single parent, providing for your family is your priority. Earning a college degree opens doors for job advancement and better quality of life for you and your family. It’s not easy to raise a family and go to college, but you’re not alone.

At Jamestown Community College, we support you through Single Parents Reaching Education to Employment, or SPREE. In our SPREE program, we work with single parent students to help them finish their degree at JCC and secure sustainable employment. Students at all JCC locations are welcome to join the SPREE program.

SPREE participants can access:

  • Peer support groups
  • JCC and community services
  • Personalized assistance from achievement and career coaches
  • Assistance with establishing financial stability
  • Specialized services for single parents

SPREE also has the ability, in some cases, to help you with financial hardship if finances are keeping you from continuing with your education.

Get started

It’s easy to join JCC’s SPREE program. Students at any JCC location can complete a quick form, and we'll reach out to you. You can also give us a call or stop by our office in HULT 295 on the Jamestown Campus.
