A study of the 754 students who enrolled as first time, full time students at JCC in fall 2016 indicated, 36.2% had graduated by the start of the fall 2019 semester. An additional 14.3% transferred to other colleges prior to graduation, and 5.4% were still enrolled in fall 2019. A total of 71% of 2017-2018 JCC graduates with Associate in Applied Science degrees responding to a survey indicated they were employed full-time. Of those responding, 73% said their current occupation is highly related to their JCC degree area and 100% said JCC prepared them for their positions in the workforce (64% indicated “very well,” 36% noted “adequately”). In the same survey, 93% of full-time transfer students responded that JCC prepared them for continuing their education. Of the respondents, 51% indicated JCC had prepared them “very well” and 42% said “adequately.” Also, 73% of the full-time transfer students are studying in a program that is highly related to their JCC program.
