Bryan Hodgson, '07Bryan Hodgson, '07, was recently named one of 30 assistant coaches named to the nationwide 2016 Under Armour 30 Under 30 Team, presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The announcement was made during the annual NABC Convention in Houston, which was held in conjunction with the 2016 NCAA Men's Final Four. The 30 Under 30 Team recognizes the brightest assistant coaches nationwide who are under the age of 30.

Hodgson has just completed his first year as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team at the University at Buffalo, where he serves as the lead recruiter for head coach Nate Oats. The Bulls won the Mid-American Conference Tournament championship, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year, and Hodgson was responsible for the addition of standout junior college transfers Blake Hamilton, Willie Conner, and David Kadiri this past year. 

He arrived at UB after spending the last two years at Midland College, where he helped lead the team to a six-win turnaround during the 2014-15 season. While there, he assisted in managing all aspects of the recruitment for Midland and conducted individual skill development workouts and in-season team practice sessions. In addition to Midland College, Hodgson has coached at JCC from 2010 to 2013 and at SUNY Fredonia. He formed the I-90 Elite, an AAU team featuring kids from Western New York and Erie, Pennsylvania.

A Jamestown native and a graduate of Jamestown High School, Hodgson earned a degree in social sciences from JCC.
