I have been fortunate in my career to work in all levels of social work practice, from individual and family interventions to community groups and state-level policy initiatives. I have worked in New York and Kentucky, as well as overseas as a Peace Corps volunteer in Russia and Latvia. It continues to be greatly rewarding to share my experiences and passion for social work with my students in the classroom. In the policy arena I am particularly passionate about poverty issues and programs and family violence.

I have spent most of my career practicing in the field of mental health. I am currently licensed in New York State as an LCSW-R (Licensed Clinical Social Worker with six years of psychotherapeutic privilege). Before joining Jamestown Community Colleges, my most recent employment was as the clinical director for Catholic Charities of Western NY. My role in that position was the direct supervision of all the therapists over three counties. In addition, I also supervised several case managers and the domestic violence program for men.
