ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

The college has specialized software and assistive devices available at various campus sites for student use. Students needing to use the technology should contact the DSSO regarding availability and/or installation at a particular campus.

Assistive Tech Available:

Kurzweil 1000 and 3000 Reading Software- Reads and highlights written or scanned materials as well as the Web

Zoomtext- Magnification and screen-reading software

Dragon Naturally Speaking- Dictation software

CCTV - Video magnifier that enlarges text and objects put under camera

Victor Wave and Victor Stream Readers- E-book (DAISY/ MP3) players

Digital Recorders- For classroom use

Personal FM System- Allows direct transmission between instructor and hearing-impaired student
