Students will study Japanese culture from historical and contemporary perspectives. The course will examine a variety of cultural artifacts including art, advertising, cinema, fashion, cuisine, music, architecture, anime-manga, technology, and artisan work. Students will select a research focus as part of the requirements of this course. This course prepares students for a travel abroad experience in Japan. Eligibility: ENG 1530. Master Course Syllabus
