BUS 1500 – 3 credits

Students will study the elements and characteristics of a free enterprise system and will be presented an overview of functional areas of business and basic concepts of the business world. Some topics include the environment of business, organization and management of the enterprise, management of human resources and production, marketing, finance, government's role in business, social responsibility, and cultural diversity, as well as major societal issues facing today's business executives. Business Law I — 3023
BUS 2530 – 3 credits

Students will study and examine the legal environment of business using the case method in which law is applied to factual situations. In BUS 2530, students study court systems and procedural law, tort and criminal law, constitutional law, and contract law. In BUS 2540, students study the law related to personal property and bailments, real property, secured transactions and bankruptcy, business structure including partnerships and corporations, and the Uniform Commercial Code.
