With the Corrections Officer Technology certificate from Jamestown Community College, you’ll develop and reinforce your skills as a corrections officer in detention centers and correctional facilities, ensuring the safety and welfare of inmates and your team as you conduct searches, disarm confrontation, and secure facilities.

The Corrections Officer Technology certificate is an inservice training program. In order to be enrolled in the core requirements of the certificate program and those that incorporate the training program of the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, students must be sworn corrections officers employed with a local correctional facility.
