Tutoring
Jamestown Community College offers students assistance
with many common academic problems in its two learning skills centers, Main
Street on the Jamestown Campus and the Learning
Assistance Center
at the Cattaraugus County Campus. In addition to help with most academic
subjects, students can receive personalized assistance with reading, writing,
and study
skills.
Students seeking help can receive one-to-one tutoring from trained
student tutors and experienced faculty members. The centers maintain libraries
of study skills videocassettes, texts, study guides, and other resource materials.
Students with special learning needs can also receive individualized assistance
at both centers.
Main
Street is located on the second floor of the Hultquist Library on the Jamestown
Campus and the Learning Assistance
Center is
located in the Technology Center (CTTC) at the Cattaraugus County Campus. Limited
tutorial
services are also available at the Warren and North County locations.
