curriculum code: 0682
Hegis code: 5610
minimum credit hours required: 60
The A.S. in fine arts: music program is designed to prepare students for transfer
to a four-year baccalaureate degree in music or a music-related field. It includes
a strong core component of mathematics/science, social sciences, and
humanities. The program also serves the student interested in an associate's
degree as a terminal degree before pursuing employment in music or a music-
related career. Students from other areas of study such as communications,
multimedia, theatre, education, arts management, sound recording, audio
engineering, and therapy find JCC's course offerings useful. Full- and part-time
students are welcome to participate in music courses and ensembles.
