Instructional Computing

Instructional Computing Services (ICS) is a college-wide department formed in 1994 to address the growing needs of instructional technology at all of JCC's four sites. The department has eight employees; six located in Jamestown and two at the Cattaraugus County Campus. The staff has developed a "team" approach to accomplish its mission, which is three-fold:

• to provide a customer-oriented, college-wide perspective on the development, purchase, installation, and maintenance of computing resources related to instruction and instructional support
• to work with faculty to encourage the integration of new computing technologies within existing courses and curricula as well as to support the formulation of new avenues for using emerging technologies
• to provide training on new software application packages, Internet resources, and hardware
