Borrowing\Returning Reserve Materials
Readings placed on reserve by course instructors for short term loan (2 hours in library, 24 hours or several days depending on the material) can be borrowed at the Cattaraugus Campus Library Circulation Desk. Reserve materials must be returned to the Circulation Desk on time in order to avoid late fines. Late fines for reserve materials, regardless of the loan period, are 50 cents for the first hour and 25 cents for each additional hour up to a maximum of $5.00 per item.
Patrons must supply a valid library card in order to check out all reserve materials.

Placing Materials on Reserve [Faculty Use]
Faculty interested in placing materials on reserve in the library are asked to followed the guidelines outlined below:
NOTICE: Please allow at least 24 hours for the library staff to process reserve materials before it is available for student use.
- The library cannot duplicate articles for reserve. This should be done in your divisional office. Copyright compliance must be followed. Only 3 copies per article title may be placed on reserve.
- Reserves may be placed as: in library use, overnight loan or a special loan of 2, 3 or 7 days.
- Reserves are filed by the instructor's last name, then by the title of the book, article or media. Please make sure the library and your students are given the same title information so we can quickly retrieve the correct item.
- The library does not purchase current textbooks to be placed on reserve.
- Personal materials and duplicated articles are returned at the end of each semester due to copyright restrictions.
If reserve items are not returned by students, the library pursues the deliquent material by sending out overdue notices and billing the student for the value of the material. However, the library cannot guarantee the return of any personal materials, particularly if they are permitted to circulate outside the library.
