Where are the open computer labs located, and what are their hours?

The open lab is located in the CTTC building on the first floor. The lab is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and closed on Saturday & Sunday.

What help is available in the open computer lab?

The lab is staffed with student computer assistants and tutors. If you need tutoring assistance please schedule an appointment. If there is no student on duty please see Tammy Keesler or Deb Simpson for assistance.

Where do I go if I left something in the open computer lab or one of the classroom labs?

See the student on duty and they will look in our “Lost and Found” area behind the reception desk.

Is there a scanner or color printer on campus I can use?

A scanner is located in the Learning Assistance and Computer Center in the Assistive Tech room. Ask the student on duty for assistance. At this time there is no color printer for students to print to.

What is JCC’s printing policy?

There is a $50 limit per semester for printing. Please read JCC's printing policy.

How do I access my U: and S: drives?

To place files here, when you SAVE your file in any application, In the Save dialog window, select the U: drive that is labeled with your Username (PIN number). You may retrieve files from this drive by accessing the computer desktop and clicking on the “My Computer” icon. Clicking on this icon will open a window that will show your User ID (PIN Number) followed by a “U:”. Click on this icon to see a listing of all your files saved at this location.

Why do I need a password/PIN (personal identification number)?

Only JCC students are allowed to access the JCC network. All registered students are given an individual student account with a unique password. This is for your security as well as the college's. Your password is your birth date which is used to log you on to the network while your PIN number is used for Banner access.

I forgot my password or I can’t login; who can help me?

If you forget your password please fill out a form at the reception desk or see Tammy Keesler.

I can’t login to Banner. Who can help me?

You must go to the Counseling Center and they will reset your PIN number and check your login information.

I can’t login to Angel. Who can help me?

You may contact Tammy Keesler at ext. 7538. Please feel free to use one of the courtesy phones.
