Work study at JCC

The Federal Work Study (FWS) program provides part-time jobs for students with financial need. Your eligibility will be determined each academic year by your FAFSA. You may work up to 15 hours per week while classes are in session, and you will be paid minimum wage.

Work study jobs include office work, lifeguarding, tutoring, and more. Check out our list of open positions, or directly contact a department to work with.

Work study vs. a “regular” job

A work study job has a cap on number of hours per week, which can be helpful when you’re juggling your student and extracurricular responsibilities in addition to working and life at home - or away from home. Work study jobs are also on campus, which means you don’t need to get to another place to start making money.
