Learning Center tutors and assistants

The Learning Center hires students as peer tutors and computer lab assistants. These are paid student assistant or college work study positions. Students may work 4-15 hours per week and are paid minimum wage.

Job qualifications

  • JCC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  • Subject area knowledge demonstrated by a minimum 3.25 GPA in the subject area and a 3.0 overall GPA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Faculty recommendation
  • Completion of tutor or computer lab assistant application
  • Interview with coordinator
  • Completion of student employment packet
