Lynda.com is an online learning company that offers training courses for professional development, personal enrichment, and to augment classroom instruction. Jamestown Community College has a full subscription of Lynda.com through 2019. 

All JCC students, faculty, and staff have access to the training and courses on Lynda.com. All you need to do is access Lynda.com and enter your JCC student, faculty, or staff log on credentials. You can learn more about Lynda.com and how to use their training & course library.

With over 4,100 video courses that are divided up into brief chapters of a few minutes or less, users can efficiently learn what they want, when they want.


Lynda.com can be used for problem solving and training on demand. Numerous courses are available on web development, CAD, business, photography, content management systems, web design, media art, video, audio, and education, so help and additional learning are only a couple of clicks away. 


Faculty at JCC can use Lynda.com to supplement classroom and online learning materials. With many lessons including exercise files, students receive hands-on practice and experience using the skills that they learned in their video lessons. In addition, faculty can create video playlists and assign lessons directly to their students. 

Supervisors & Staff

With technology constantly evolving at JCC, Lynda.com is an excellent resource available to supervisors and staff to learn the latest technology skills. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level courses are available. Examples of training available through Lynda.com include:
