For the JCC women, Lindsey Beckstrom records another triple win for the Jayhawk and accounted for 27 of the 36 points. Her times were 26.78 in the 50 Free, 1.00.34 in the 100 Free and a 1.12.50 in the 100 Back. “ Lindsey did well in her first two events but had trouble in the 100 back with a time that doesn’t represent her abilities Coach Mike Giambruno said. She had some trouble in that swim but I’m not too worried. We know what happened and it’s an easy fix. I suspect she’ll look for a little redemption this weekend at the Herkimer Invitational.</p> <p class="rtecenter"><img height="200" alt="" width="353" src="/files/userfiles/image/backstroke.JPG" /></p> <p>Kacie Peterson had three good swims in the 200 Free, 200 IM and the 200 Breast. Kacie recorded three third places for those events. John Swenson swam the 50 and 100 Free and the 500 Free and went 2nd, 1st and 2nd respectively for those events.</p> <p class="rtecenter"><img height="200" alt="" width="266" src="/files/userfiles/image/50%20free%20john%202.JPG" /></p> <p>“John is beginning to move now, his turnover is picking up and if he wants to get to the next level that’s what he’ll have to do. I think he’s on his way and I expect good things from John as we finish out our season.” Nate Johnson swam the 50 Free, 100 Fly and the 100 Back and went 5th, 1st and 2nd respectively. “Nate was a little off today. He came to the meet feeling really sick but still performed as I expected him to. I know he was feeling really bad but he still went after it and he showed a lot of toughness. The women’s score was GCC 82, JCC 36 and ECC 20.</p> <p><img height="183" alt="" width="193" src="/files/userfiles/image/Beckstrom%20blocks.JPG" /> </p> <p>The Men’s score was GGCC 75, ECC 60 and JCC 31. For the JCC women, Lindsey Beckstrom records another triple win for the Jayhawk and accounted for 27 of the 36 points. Her times were 26.78 in the 50 Free, 1.00.34 in the 100 Free and a 1.12.50 in the 100 Back. “ Lindsey did well in her first two events but had trouble in the 100 back with a time that doesn’t represent her abilities Coach Mike Giambruno said. She had some trouble in that swim but I’m not too worried. We know what happened and it’s an easy fix. I suspect she’ll look for a little redemption this weekend at the Herkimer Invitational.</p> <p class="rtecenter"><img height="200" alt="" width="353" src="/files/userfiles/image/backstroke.JPG" /></p> <p>Kacie Peterson had three good swims in the 200 Free, 200 IM and the 200 Breast. Kacie recorded three third places for those events. John Swenson swam the 50 and 100 Free and the 500 Free and went 2nd, 1st and 2nd respectively for those events.</p> <p class="rtecenter"><img height="200" alt="" width="266" src="/files/userfiles/image/50%20free%20john%202.JPG" /></p> <p>“John is beginning to move now, his turnover is picking up and if he wants to get to the next level that’s what he’ll have to do. I think he’s on his way and I expect good things from John as we finish out our season.” Nate Johnson swam the 50 Free, 100 Fly and the 100 Back and went 5th, 1st and 2nd respectively. “Nate was a little off today. He came to the meet feeling really sick but still performed as I expected him to. I know he was feeling really bad but he still went after it and he showed a lot of toughness.
